Does Woodhall Spa need a Chamber of Trade?
An increasing number of local businesses recognise that Woodhall Spa needs a forum to discuss issues of common interest. As Ward Councillor I am working with business proprietors to restart a Chamber of Trade in Woodhall Spa. I know we all work hard but I would like you to consider the potential benefits for your business of being part of an effective pressure group, looking out for you.
As we may face yet more economic turmoil it’s vital that the local business community has one voice to speak to local government and organisations that can encourage and secure trade and business.
Woodhall Spa has a unique history and we need to enhance and develop its attraction to visitors and residents alike. We might be more fortunate than many other towns and main villages in East Lindsey but this does not mean we should be complacent.
It is vital that in these times of recession we should be working together to secure a more prosperous future.
How could a Chamber of Trade help you?
Such an organisation will:
- Improve publicity for your business in Woodhall Spa by seeking to strengthen the brand of Woodhall Spa across the district and nationally
- Secure and enhance your prospects locally by collaborative working with interested partners and organisations
- Identify issues of common concern and address them with organisations than can help you by lobbying local government
- Speak with one voice on planning issues that might affect local trade and the wellbeing of your business
- Contribute to community events and initiatives for the improvement of Woodhall Spa and district by working together with a common aim and objective
- Affiliate to county and national Chambers to secure legal advice, specialist training and access to council and government funded initiatives
- Create opportunities for networking…its not what you know its who you know
- Enable you to share skills and knowledge with colleagues, saving you time and money
